About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to get through medical school and still keep my feet on the road as much as possible.

ABOUT ME

I am currently in medical school but my journey has taken many turns in getting here. I worked for a couple years as an engineer, but I realized that my desires to work for a sense of community, justice, and solidarity with others in this world would never be fulfilled there. I try to incorporate my values into my everyday life. I am a person who makes plans but leaves the details to be filled in spontaneously as I go along.

PHILOSOPHY

Make the most of the time you have to live with, life isn't about posessions or money, its about experiences and there's nothing better than meeting new people and sharing ideas and adventures in a strange new place. I don't mind sacrificing the other stuff for that.

Interests

I love to read and learn about different people and cultures, for fun I like snowboarding, playing pool, just hanging out and exploring the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading, novels, memoirs, its all good. Hemingway and Orwell are my favorite authors. Lately I've been listening to Spanish Rock Music, Trance, and Folk Rock, but my tastes change.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running with bulls in Pamplona, Spain, or walking through Amsterdam until the sun came up looking for our hostel.

Going on a six-day hike to Ciudad Perdida in Colombia

Climbing volcanos in Guatemala, stumbling up the steepest ascent in my life in pure darkness to camp on the summit. It was all worth it for the view of the sun rising.

Snorkeling with whale sharks in Utila, Honduras

Cliff diving into Lago Atitlan in Guatemala

Learned Spanish!!!

Kayaking in the Caribbean

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got some math and engineering skills, so if you really want to know, I can help you with your homework or something. I've got a couple good travel stories and I love hearing other peoples stories as well. I do want to learn about medical stuff though someday.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Spain, United Kingdom
