About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To surf and be surfed!

ABOUT ME

My name is Edgar, I'm a changing crazy person. I'm a big reader and, recently, film addict. I'm a psychology student, soon to be shrink :PI like to talk a lot, I like to sleep late, I like beer and wine and whiskey and tequila but I'm not a fan of Vodka. I love to travel and be under extreme conditions like hunger and fatigue... when I'm traveling. I live in Tijuana and I'm proud of it. I like to learn a lot of things about a lot of things. I like learning new languages and words. I write and it's my dream to be able to play an instrument but hand't had luck so far.I'm easygoing... kinda, I'm almost never mad or angry and you shouldn't worry about finding me in a bad mood because that rarely happens. Anything else you can ask and I'll be glad to reply. :)

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy changes every now and then. I'm a big reader and love chatting with people from all around the world with different ideas of how things work (or should work) so my "personal philosophy" gets hit with every good book or genius person I stumble upon.
Right now, I'm a big follower of social oriented ethics, c'est-à-dire, to help others and get help from them, to look for a better understanding of thy neighbor and facilitate communication. That's why I love CS concept so much!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just found out about CouchSurfing some months ago and I'm still having my first CS experiences around Europe. Once I get back to Mexico I'm all set to start hosting people from all around the world.Until now, I've stayed with great hosts in France and I'm awaiting people in Norway, Poland, Germany and Italy.CS is probable one of the best experiences I'd had in Europe so far!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've slept in couches, mattresses, beds, on the floor and even dirt. I've covered myself with blankets, towels, my own jacket and have slept without any cover. I've been awake all night with 90% of the people talking another language, I've mastered my traditional mexican cooking skills (just kidding, I still suck but I like to cook for my hosts). For now, I've only surf and once I get home I'm ready to start hosting because CS has been (so far, so good) one of the best experiences in my life

Interests

My interests are very wide. Psychology, Technology, Languages, Books, Films, Artsy Stuff, a bit about Politics and Economy, Journalism, Travel Experiences, Bizarre Facts of the world and life (cheers for Craked.com and other cool websites). I like podcasts and music, weblogs, localism, webzines, poetry, alcohol, writing, not sleeping, intelectual crushes, women... I could keep going for a long while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I still remember the first time I went Bungee Jumping from New Zealand's highest bungee-jumping point (134 m), it's one of the finest, most awesome moments I've had.
Another amazing thing I saw once, in Punta Banda (Ensenada, Mexico) was a whole beach fully covered by small (2in), white crabs. I'm pretty sure it was egg-laying season and I particularly remember the beach being mostly white instead of the usual brown/copper tone of a Pacific beach.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Mexico
