About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi!
My name is Dale.

I joined couchsurfing to receive accomodation all over the world and also when I can I will offer my accommodation to any nice traveling people.

I believe that the best way to learn about a culture is to immerse yourself with the local people.

Lots of people stay in hostels and never really get to know the people of their destinations. I believe this is because they only hang out with other travellers, and drink in the local backpacker bars.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe you must do whatever you have to do to make yourself happy (as long as it does not affect other peoples happiness). This seems to agree with humanistic psychology:)

People worry too much about life, whether it be money, relationships or what other people may think of them.

I think that backpackers from all over the world have something in common.
They all have a sense of adventure and enjoy a challenge.

I believe that travelers are happier people and are happier with what they have in life. I believe that travelers are less worried about what they do not have.

I admire people who are not afraid to take that first step that holds so many of us back in the dark.

I believe that by witnessing other cultures, we can better understand our own selves, and where we stand in this world.

'Optimistic' and 'free' are great ways to describe the traveler.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Lately, I have been terrible with my commitment to couchsurfing. This is mostly due to having to move back in with my parents so I could partake in a degree.

I also couchsurf, which is one of the best ways to participate (alongside hosting).

I would like to organise some cs meetings in my local area, but due to the distance from Sydney it may be somewhat difficult:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like to stay with my friends in Europe, but I would like to enhance my friends by visiting more countries and meeting new exciting and interesting people.

Interests

I love music, especially punk rock.
I have an interest in tattoos.
I am a musician and also have experience in pre and post audio production.

I love traveling and immersing myself really deep in other cultures.

I like to go outdoors and do gold fossicking, gem fossicking, metal detecting, bushwalking or any activity that may allow me to breath fresh air.
