Finding a job, get into nursing school, more stamps in my passport, etc etc I have a million current missions.

ABOUT ME

I think I'm that "nice guy" that everybody refers to. Empathy is one of my greatest strengths, as well as probably my biggest curse. I'm currently taking prereqs for nursing school and hope to utilize the profession as a means to serve others and to have a career that's universal and flexible enough to adapt to my ever changing interests and locations. I'm a proud thru-hiker of the Appalachian Trail and consider the outdoors a great passion of mine. I'm very much a world-traveler wanna-be. I've studied abroad in Costa Rica, and have traveled to numerous spots in Central America, as well as Cuba. The most recent of these was 2 years ago, however, and am anxious to dust off my passport once again and go somewhere I've never been before. Most of all, as you can probably tell by my "personal description", I'm awful at writing/talking about myself and much prefer face-to-face interaction. I'm slightly introverted, but at the same time greatly value the company of others and cherish any experience to meet new people or spend time with people with whom I have established relationships.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm up for anything, really. I'm not in much of a position to host any surfers right now, but am more than willing to meet with somebody passing through wherever I am and am certainly willing to stay on a total strangers' couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still working on my first real couch surfing experience. I'll update this as soon as that happens.

Music, Movies, and Books

You won't hear me compliment Steve Jobs on many things; but he did create PIXAR and I love Pixar. UP and Monsters Inc in particular are the jam. Everybody should read Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman, as well as listen to The Cool from Lupe Fiasco.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled to Cuba during George Bush's reign as President. Despite lyme diseases' best efforts, I completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail after graduating college during the summer and fall of 2010.
