About Me

I'm a young college student born and raised in Houston. I'm currently finishing my associates in audio engineering and then getting my bachelors in restaurant and hotel management. As well as full time school, I work at my family's bicycle shop and volunteer and the Houston Bicycle Museum.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to do as much traveling while I'm still in school and living with my parents. I only have a few more years of spare cash and free time :P
My grandfather was an adventurous man and seemed to have friends all over the world so that when he would travel, he would always have someone help him out with a place and maybe a meal or two. To me that sounded like the best way to see the world.

Interests

I love being in nature. I always want to find new places to go to get out of the city. A good chunk of why I want to go somewhere is based on the geography of the place. But I do like to explore cities too. Especially fun architecture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While not amazing by some standards, I recently did my first solo trip. I drove to New Mexico (which 12 hours is just getting out of Texas) in memory of my grandfather who lived there. I was on my own for 8 wonderful days, and I can't wait to do another solo trip soon.

Update: I'll be doing a MUCH bigger solo trip this summer in Europe. Approximately 70 days. Here's to having enough saved in time!

Teach, Learn, Share

My favorite thing to teach people is swing dancing. I've been dancing for ten years now and it's always a blast to teach those who have never done it. I'm not sure what all I could really teach someone, but I've been told that I have fun information to tell people.
I love learning new languages, so when travelling I like to learn how to say a few things in the native tongue.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great stories of my shenanigans, a dance lesson or two, and good ole Southern hospitality.
