About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I keep telling people that I am a performance artist.... Living the Art of Living Well :). But Seriously, a huge part of that is connecting with new and interesting people who are grabbing life with both hands and wringing the nectar out of it!!
ABOUT ME
I struggle with describing myself, partly because I don't clearly see myself as others do and partly because I am constantly in flux. Today I am a touch positive, heart open, connection geek hellbent on awakening the memories we all have of our authentic selves.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have primarily stayed with Couchsurfers when visiting cities. It is the easiest way to get to know what it is ACTUALLY like to live in a city, not the scrubbed-clean-travel-brochure fantasy. When I have traveled Europe in the past, I have used the SERVAS system (similar to couch surfing). The stays we made with locals were always the highlight of the trip.
Many couch surfers have come to stay in my home and every meeting has been a lovely exchange and an opportunity for connection. I find that travelers are so much more open to new experience than people who have put down roots.
Interests
I love pleasure, abundance, lightness of being, easiness, connecting with people, gratitude, soulfulness, passion, delight, & living fearlessly and freely.
Within that context, I often find myself enjoying: sailing, contra dancing, massage, photography, fine woodworking, gardening, backpacking, trainhopping, meditation, spearfishing, ecstatic dance, contact improv, Esalen, SCUBA diving, campfires, foraging, cuddling, cooking (especially pastries), welding, hot springs, excellent food, the woods, music, reading, cycling, fiddling (unfortunately on the back burner), deep blue water, cycle touring, Burning Man, and walking in the wilderness on moonless nights.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The place: Burning Man. The Scene: riding in the back of an art car in the morning dawn. In that moment, in the midst of craziness and completely alone, the entire world assembled itself into cosmic integrity. Pure beauty; no drugs required.
There is a place of pure beingness that is so divinely human and yet often so remote. I remember fondly being on the infinite grasslands of the Carizzo plain, in the arms of a lover, feeling the "Big Quiet" of the emptiness. In that moment, there was no struggle, no need, no desire. A man can do big things from that emptiness, and yet the impulse in that moment was to simply "be". Yum.
