About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born in Los Alamos, New Mexico and then moved to Houston, Texas. I studied math at the University of Texas at Austin and after taking a year off of school, I have begun a PhD in zoology at the University of Oxford.
PHILOSOPHY
I wouldn't say I really have one. I don't really have a motto that guides my life or anything profound I've really figured out along the way... The best I can do is that I try to view life as a trophy case of experiences. It seems that friends are pretty important too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in a flat with other students, so it'd be hard to have guests since I'd have to make sure everybody's okay with it. I'm very happy to go for a beer/tea/whatever with anybody in town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only couchsurfed once, and it was a great experience. I met up with an old friend in Hamburg, Germany and stayed with Andy and Mila and had a great time.
Interests
I've somewhat recently taken up rockclimbing as a hobby. I'm not that great at it. I'm learning Spanish too.

Music, Movies, and Books
movies: GATTACA, Terminator 2, The Lion King
music: alan jackson, tim mcgraw, beethoven, rachmaninoff
books: lord of the flies, it's a little embarrassing that i can't think of a second
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmm... I don't really know. I've thought a lot about a lot of things but don't have much to show for it. There's a ton I'd like to learn though, and what little I have gathered.. seems to have come more from others than from my own introspection.
