About Me
Hello, I'm Dan. I am working as an operating room nurse specializing in Ears Nose Throat operation (ENT) here in Hamburg. I was born, raised, and have lived in the Philippines almost my entire life.
Living here in Europe, was once a dream. I thought it will never get realized, so I used to just watch European Films, at least to experience the places and the culture. Now that I am here, I am experiencing it firsthand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It enables you to connect with real people. It delights me to have a chance to talk to strangers (who soon become friends), because somehow one needs that necessity and extra push, partly feeling obliged, in order to strike a conversation. Those things that one sees on movies, or at least the ones I've seen before. I'm introverted but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the company of people.
It's an adventure. You get the feeling that you are in an Anime or RPG, where you encounter new friends along the journey, the way I view it.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Perks of Being a Wallflower, Hope for the Flowers, The Little Prince
Movies: Cinema Paradiso, Departures, Kokohaku, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Marcello Marcello, Jagten, Haevnen, Grave of the Fireflies, Contact, Gattaca, Les Choristes, Before the Fall, Amelie, Billy Elliot, Jongens, Three Idiots, Spielzeugland (short film). Mostly sci-fi, drama, coming-of-age, and foreign language films (non-Tagalog, non English).
Music: New Wave, 80's Music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving here to Germany, to fulfill a dream. It took me almost 3 years in order to go work and live here.
I went alone on an 11-day trip around Europe, only by land, and have met friends and have used Couchsurfing along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
The name of the first 150 Pokemon (English) in order in under 1 minute...and some fun facts.
I could share how to make ice cream with only 3 ingredients, a thing or two on how to survive in Manila, just in case you are planning to visit my home city...:)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am willing to share you my time, one of the most precious currency of all, and my company.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Vatican City State
Countries I’ve Lived In
