About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I started my own Spanish tutoring service, Coffee Shop Spanish, in Cincinnati in 2014. It has become my full-time work over the last year and I love it! Every few months, I take a small group of my students on a trip to a Spanish-speaking country with me. We hope to find you on our journey!
ABOUT ME
My wife and family are my greatest loves. Right behind them come languages, traveling, and playing/watching soccer!
PHILOSOPHY
"What is the feeling when you're driving away from people, and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? -It's the too huge world vaulting us, and it's good-bye. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I constantly remember that I'm something of an ambassador for couchsurfing and my country every time I leave and stay with another CS'r. I enjoy hosting in my own city and I hope to see this community grow and grow my whole life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed with many different people and met with a few others and it has been so much better than expected every time. Showing off my hometown of Cincinnati is one of my favorite things to do!!
Interests
Traveling the world, of course. Languages, playing guitar and drums, soccer, campfires, biking, interesting (and spicy!) food, reading, Buddhist and mystic philosophy, animals and the outdoors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once stood looking over all of Catalunya from the top of a mountain after biking a few hours up the side of it with an awful illness. At that time, it certainly felt like the most amazing thing I'd ever done.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a bit about writing and drumming, and of course my English skills. Plus, I make some mean hummus and chili!
