It's a necessary evil. If you didn't know the people that own CS claim all the data you put on this site for themselves...even if you close your account. The are also a for-profit B Corporation (Yes...I said Corporation). This is part of the reason, aside it being a complete invasion of privacy on the company's part in my opinion, that i will never get verified. The more you know...

That being said, I'm a nomad, and although there are several more morally sound sources for travellers in terms of how their administered over (do a Google search 😜) this is still the most used site.
