Living in Washington, DC working as an environmental restoration scientist for the US government. I like to do lots of outdoors activities including hiking, biking, climbing, adventure racing, and other things. Right now I'm gearing up for a trip to Norway, and a return to Iceland...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hopeing to find some places to stay when I travel, and/or people to meet for hiking, biking, or drinks, and I'm willing to host on my couch in a nice neighborhood of DC.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met couchsurfers who were staying on friend's couches, and they were fantastic, so I made a profile to host, but no one bothered writing, probably because my profile was slim. I've met people while travelling in Europe who have had success using the site. I'm still new to the site, even though I've been a member a while.
