About Me

Hey there! I am currently living in NYC, and my life tends to revolve around music, art, and food. I am a fiddle player who loves all styles of traditional music. Traditional Irish is what I mainly play, but I also play some American Old Time, Quebecois (which is why I am going to QC), West African, and Klezmer music. However, I'll play anything that tickles my fancy.

I am also very passionate about learning languages (maintenant j'étudie français), vegetarian/vegan cooking, animation, drawing, graphic design, and ecology.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting to know a city with locals is the most rewarding experience when traveling.

Interests

Anything colorful and creative, which includes art and music (both making and observing).

As I said above, foreign languages really interest me as well. Unfortunately, I'm only fluent in English at the moment, but I'm currently studying French and Portuguese

I am also a huge Seinfeld fanatic

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I am very passionate about traditional folk music. Although anything within the Celtic umbrella, such as Irish, Scottish, Quebecois, and American old time are what you would find me listening to most of the time, I'm also in love with music from West Africa, Ethiopia, Brazil, Klezmer, and Eastern Europe to name a few. I'm also a huge fan of 90s grunge/alternative rock, Tuareg rock/Desert blues, Synthwave, post-rock, film scores, and folk rock. I'm probably leaving a lot out.

Top 5 Movies: The Big Lebowski, The Shinning, The Exorcist, Ghost World, Pulp Fiction

TV: Seinfeld, The X-Files, American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, Portlandia, Futurama

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played at a music festival in Mali
