About Me

Hey there! I'm a human resource and organisation development professional who's living in a new city and country for the first time! Beyond work, I love going outdoors -- running, hiking, exploring, surfing, you name it (not that I'm very good at these things, I just love doing them :)).

I am someone who can be quiet at first, but will not stop talking once I get comfortable. I am not an expert at a lot of things, but would love to try things at least once.

I recently moved from Manila to Stockholm, where I know about less than five people. It's a scary but great adventure, and I'm looking forward to all the rush of experiences in this beautiful city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet awesome people, share and listen to stories! Especially now being in a new place and not knowing a lot of people, it would be fun to explore the city with people from around the world :)

Interests

I have participated in full marathons and trail running events in the Philippines and in Australia. I love the peacefulness in running (it's like meditation!) and the feeling of fulfillment when you finish a race after training hard and religiously for months.

I also like hiking, that feeling of being together with nature. I enjoy the journey as much as the euphoric feeling of reaching the summit after a long hike.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wanted to start mountain climbing so I joined my brother's friends. Me being my clueless self did not do any prior research and just listened to my brother's friend's reminders. Little did I know that the mountain had a 7/9 difficulty level. We were supposed to stay for 3 days and 2 nights but had to extend to 4 days/3 nights because we were stranded in the forest -- rain, leeches, and everything. It was so uncomfortable..but it was the start of my love affair with the mountains.
