About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I got a summer job in Swansea I only had a few days to find a place to live and move there. There was a big risk that I wouldn't be able to find a place to stay in time, so my mum (being the lovely Italian mother that she is) suggested that I check out Couchsurfing as to avoid hotels/motels/hostels for a few days during my search.

Fortunately I found a room to rent relatively quickly, so I never bothered to look at Couchsurfing. My mum on the other hand had already created an account, and she ended up getting a request and hosted a Californian couple who were travelling Europe and had an amazing experience.

I realised that, as a young lad who loves to travel, I pretty much have no reason not to give this a go. It's a tool that enables you to travel, meet new people, have new experiences, share and save some money whilst doing it.

Over the next few years I'm looking to travel and see as much of the world as possible whilst I still have some youthful energy in me and few responsibilities.

It goes without saying that mi casa es su casa and I'd love to host anyone travelling around my area (as long as you're not a serial killer)!

Interests

- Socializing
- Snowboarding - a little passion of mine since I was a kid
- Music - I'm into my house beats, anyone who has been to Ibiza will understand!
- Football - or soccer, depending on where you're from
- Drinking - a little hobby I picked up in university
- Marketing - like wolf of wall street, but more honest and (a lot) less cash
- Economics - a lot more simple than they lead you to believe!
- Technology - another passion of mine, I love the Silicon Valley start up scene

Music, Movies, and Books

Definitely 'Pillars of the Earth' for fiction, so many feels!

Favourite political book is 'Animal Farm' by Orwell, classic.

As for the more philosophical stuff, I loved 'The Denial of Death' as it speaks a lot of truth as to why we do the things we do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once wrestled with a giraffe (and lost)!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be very happy to buy any hosts a pint (as long as you're legal) and share some of my stories and the adventures I've had over the years. I'd also be very happy to hear some of yours!
