ABOUT ME

Isn't life an amazing journey? After more than half a century, I am still amazed everyday. And to make things more interesting, I decided that after 16 years of living and raising my two wonderful daughters in Celebration Florida, that it was time for a new adventure and I just moved to Atlanta, GA. Deandra (25) graduated from Florida State University in 2014 with dual degrees in Theatre and Humanities and is now living in Las Vegas teaching second grade and just completed her Masters in Education at UNLV. Raechelle (24) graduated from FSU in December 2014 and majored in theatre. She moved to NYC to pursue her theatre career and works for NY Kids Club. I have always said raising them has been the hardest and best job I've ever had. They are both talented and dedicated artists and I support them wholeheartedly in the pursuit of their dreams. I am extremely proud of them both.

I've had several careers in my lifetime beginning with HR management in the hospitality industry, then as a real estate broker in Chicago for 20 years and in the past 10 yrs I've owned and operated a retail vitamin nutrition store in Celebration called Naturally Yours and have done wellness consulting and energy healing work. My dream for the next 10 years is to travel the world, write my book and to fully embrace and embody, in every moment, the adventure-loving hippie/Goddess/healer that I am.

That we are all truly ONE. If everyone understood and lived this truth the world would be a peaceful, joyful loving place for everyone.

I have traveled most of my adult life and found that the most memorable and meaningful journeys I've taken were always about the people I connected with. There's nothing better! So definitely enjoy both surfing and hosting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I guess you could call me a CSer all my life even though I have not always been a part of this website. I have surfed a multitude of couches, air mattresses, RVs, you name it and I've probably slept on it and in a multitude of crazy places throughout the USA. By the time I was 40 I had been in all but 7 states in the USA and most of those stays had been some form of couch surfing.

Interests

I LOVE traveling and meeting people more than anything but throughout my life I've loved theatre, music, reading, writing, meditation,kayaking, biking, walking, camping and beaches. I LOVE BEACHES! My favorite place to be, hands down. I really LOVE cooking or maybe I should say non-cooking as I mostly eat raw. Food is a passion but only really healthy stuff. I get really exicted about making fermented foods and truly love the whole process. I love making food that's good for you and tastes so good that people who eat crap can't believe how good healthy food can taste! Another important part of me is the healing work I do and living a very spiritual life. I am a Reiki Master, Arcing Light Healer, Solfeggio Frequency Practitioner, CNHP (Certified Natural Health Professional), Herbalist.... I could go on and on. There are so many things I am interested in and I work with all having to do with healing on every level, mind, body and spirit.

Music, Movies, and Books

This could be a really long list so I am going to try to contain myself! Let's see movies....LOVE indie films, foreign films and movies that touch my soul. Some of my all time favorites are Chocolat, Dangerous Beauty, Joy Luck Club, The Reader, Down with Love, Forest Gump, Mother and Child, Benjamin Button...the list is really long. Music, well I love theatre music, raw, gritty soulful blues, 70s rock when they really knew how to play a guitar. Is there any thing better than experiencing Jimmy Page??? Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite. No one has yet, or ever will for that matter, even come close to what those guys did. Also love Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jonny Lang and many more. My new love for the past couple years is Patrick Dodd on Beale St. in Memphis...bluesy rock at it's best.. AWESOME!!! Also LOVE great sax, great guitar(did I say that already?), there's just so much I love! Also love reading. I am currently reading the Autobiography of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. a man whose remarkable life I will never fail to be in awe of, and Death of a King, South of Haunted Dreams and Atlantis Rising. I read alot of meaningful spiritual material as well. And of course I had to do it, Fifty Shades of Grey, for fun:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh my gosh....I am not a what-is-your-one-favorite-thing kinda girl....there have been so many profound and amazing moments in my life. Giving birth to my daughters will always be two of the most amazing moments in my life. One of those life-altering moments was standing under the ball in Times Square for New Year's Eve 2009. I can't begin to describe the energy or what I experienced that night on a spiritual level. A definite take-your-breath-away, unforgettable experience! Standing on the Islands of the Uros in Lake Titicaca in Peru, opening the 11:11 gate of One True Love in Bolivia on the Island of the Moon, riding a mule down into the Grand Canyon, hot air ballooning on my 40th with my best friend, traversing the dimensions through the Temple of Union with my twinflame at Mt. Shasta, hiking the Incan Trail and that first glimpse of Macchu Pichu, opening the final gate of the 11:11 in the Sacred Valley of Peru, standing before John of God in Brazil.....there are so many throughout my 57 years....for which I am so very grateful!

I do healing work on the physical and spiritual levels. I am a Reiki Master, Solfeggio Frequency practitioner, Arcing Light Healer and a Certified Natural Health professional who does wellness consulting and a life-long meditator too! I help people to heal with nutrition, supplements, herbs and at a spiritual and emotional level using the different energy modalities I work with among other things. Always LOVE to share the healing work I do, that's when the magic happens!
