About Me
CURRENT MISSION
snowriding and back to work
ABOUT ME
outdoor junkie, music lover
Work hard, play hard. Life can be tough, but its all about pullin through and learning from your experiences. I live simply, but I still enjoy my few toys! Some people describe me as a duck, the water just rolls right off me, but I'm not afraid to speak my mind.
PHILOSOPHY
IF YOU BEGIN TO READ THIS, FINISH READING BEFORE ASSUMING AND CLICKING ON .
live, love, learn, teach
judge no one, yet speak your mind
don't get offended just because someone has a different opinion than you
never doubt, always question
let it flow
Money does not really exist and has nothing to do with your happiness.
educate yourself and others, book smart AND street smart
I sometimes wonder why people so much despise God and religion. Its not God and religion that's the problem. Its all the fanatics in the world and our own human faults, and how could anyone not be down with Jesus? I do understand why many people are so sick of Christianity today. The reason is that most "Christian" groups are completely different than the original Christian faith(which still exists today as the Eastern Orthodox church). The church has been split and dissolved countless times over since the beginning of the Roman Catholic church at the Great Schism around 1054, 1,000 years after the Apostles founded Christ's church. And Christ didn't just show up being born as a man, he has been part of the trinity of God before time existed. Also, there is no reason why science and religion cannot exist together. I am a Christian, but science is obviously very very real. I believe that God is the first and ultimate scientist. If the universe was created by God, is not science part of that? Nothing is black and white in this world and I think a lot of people get stuck on that. Having said that, there is really no point to saying I am liberal/conservative or democrat/republican. We should be able to think beyond those terms. There is way too much gray area. Both parties are run by the same people anyway so get over it. Just because someone believes in God or a higher power, doesn't mean they can't think for themselves. That's the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. We can't explain everything in life, just enjoy the mystery! I am not here to push my beliefs on anyone, just always free to discuss! I am human and imperfect, just like you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Everyone has been hospitable to a point that does not usually exist between strangers. Its amazing. I was in Argentina for two months at the end of 2008 and had some great hosts. I met so many great people and am excited to continue this experience. Since my return to Denver, I have had some great hosting experiences as well as met new friends from the area. I just returned home to Colorado again after spending the last year in the bay area, Tahoe and Alaska. Another year goes by and I have met and hosted many people in Leadville, CO. The road has been good again and sounds like the plan is back to Cali!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a bit of everything, we may have to talk about that. Top 40/pop makes my head want to explode(in a bad way). I have a lot of movies/docs on file, though I must admit I have fewer books than anything. I do like to read non-fiction, religion/philosphy and a little fantasy. I do have to say that Nietzsche was confused. I am not into novels and its really odd to me when people will read a novel based on some kind of historical event and take it as factual information.
For the religious types, read the Bible. I mean really read it and think about it. Its all in there trust me. There are also many other ancient Christian writings of Saints and church fathers out there. For anyone else, watch Esoteric Agenda. Beyond that, I think that everyone should do both and continue to be informed. For a shorter read I also recommend a book called "Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future", written by some monks at St Herman's Monastary in Platina, CA.
