About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Visited 66 countries- looking to get to the rest of them soon
ABOUT ME
I taught overseas for 9 years and really developed my wandering soul in that time. Then I moved back to the US for two years but had to get moving again. Currently, I'm shadowing my husband as he finishes thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail (we're up to New Hampshire and Maine now!), and then a bit of Canada. I'm not much of a hiker, so while he hikes up and down mountains, I'm sightseeing and couchsurfing!
PHILOSOPHY
I'm taking the next year off work to travel around the world. A lot of people asked me, 'but what about your job?'. My response is that I work in order to make money to go travel and see the world. I would never want something silly like working to get in the way of a good life experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Before couchsurfing was a website, I had plenty of friends come visit me when I lived overseas- I even got a friend to come visit and stay with me in Haiti! Now that the geniuses invented the actual couchsurfing website, I'm anxious to try it. I'm at my first host's house right now filling in my profile! Thanks Rob in NH!
Interests
I love to read (obviously, as I'm a librarian). And I love to travel (lived overseas for 9 years). A bit of a yoga studier, but I like the easy, stretchy kind, not the hard and sweaty kind. I like the outdoors, but I have a limit of 2 camping nights in a row, and then I need a shower and a/c and a bed.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a deep love of late 80's and early 90's movies and music. Depeche Mode, The Cure, Empire Records. Even Goonies. And I love all books (again, I'm a librarian).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So hard to narrow it down. Walking along next to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Watching the sun set behind the pyramids in Cairo. Sailing along the Nile in Khartoum. Reaching the Ciudad Perdida in Colombia.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you want to know how to live abroad and get paid for doing so, I can tell you how. I did it for nine years and loved it.
