I am a South African citizen with Swiss heritage who loves soccer, beaches and relaxing!
I have just completed my degree in Mathematical Statistics at Stellenbosch University and am doing Honours in Operations Research in 2019.
I love the occasional sci-fi or romcom movie and have a very wide taste in music! Two of my bucket list items are watching Panic At the Disco or Jukebox the Ghost live - I love alternative rock in particular!
I am generally very friendly and easy to talk to, and enjoy meeting new people. Deep conversations are awesome!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting different people and hearing their stories and troubles. I tend to give good advice despite my young age, haha! I hardly care about the fact that Couchsurfing saves money - I'm just excited to meet some people of a different background to mine and see the way they live. It is actually a much better way to travel than staying by yourself in hotels, etc because you get to see what places are really like through people that live there! So even in places where I already have accommodation I want to use Couchsurfing just to meet locals, and if I had my own space it'd be so awesome to break the routine by having a traveller come visit and tell me stories!

Interests

I love playing and watching soccer - I've done it my whole life. I used to play for a club and my University when I was younger and still play as often as possible when I can. I support a different team in each country's league:
Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid. In Serie A I love many of the teams and can't decide yet! In South Africa I support Cape Town City FC and enjoy going to watch their matches.
Like I said before, I love alternative rock and one of my favourite memories is watching The Script live!
I have been a Christian my whole life and am open to talking about it - I enjoy going to church, worship, and meeting with other believers - it's fun!

Panic At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Jukebox the Ghost, Jesus Culture, Bethel Music, Elevation Worship, Don Diablo, etc.
I loved Inception, the Matrix and Passengers - those are my favourite three. You can tell I love time travel!!
Person Of Interest, Sherlock and Timeless are some of my favourite TV series.
I like to read as well when I have time - Weird by Craig Groeschel is fantastic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone on a three week hiking trip around the Garden Route in South Africa with backpacks only and limited food, along with 9 other friends. It was amazing! One of my favourite memories is also watching the FIFA World Cup.
Also, I am a watch designer and entrepreneur - I have made 3 different designs which I sell!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cooking and can make some delicious South African food like Bobotie, Malva Pudding, rusks and banana bread. I'm actually a better baker than a cook, I guess! You will love them so much I will have to teach you how to make them! ;)
