ABOUT ME

Cancer here, by birth...Astrologically speaking...very comfortable and respectful of self and others.

Grounded here and maintain a good balance - heart, mind, and soul - which takes some "filtering" in this day-and-age!

Grew up in VA (just outside Washington, DC), undergrad work in San Antonio, TX, 7 years spent in Los Angeles, CA, and for the past 15 years in NYC, including a Master's from NYU.

Home is where the heart is though...

Humorous, amusing, and creatively funny, with substance; always willing to stretch my mind or someone else's...as well as lend a hand. Good sense of nature and strong spirit. Also, participant of the 420 friendly club.

Have a house to retreat to in Northeast Pennsylvania an hour away so spend some days in city and some in the woods with no neighbors - dwelling in NYC, some on LIC and for 10 years in Chelsea/midtown...now in East Village -the last area with good car parking. I drive in NYC too....as I split time between the two extremes - makes for a nice balance.

Perceptive & creatively funny, with grounded awareness.

Have car; will drive...and MOST anywhere. Enjoy the challenge of driving in the city...it's like a good chess game, expect it involves insurance! ha.ha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a gracious house guest: respectful and will leave it as I found it or better... - it's only considerate in my book.

As an aside: I have left a ceiling fan in every apartment I've lived in from DC, LA, to NYC over the last 20 years...a small contribution to domestic living society, and dwelling owners in America.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Semi-Virgin CouchSurfer. Master Couch Sleeper. This site was suggested by a friend whom uses the site and has had good experiences thus far...and I am willing to try anything once; so far everyone has been amazing and kind.

TO NOTE: I have stayed with MANY friends over the years and not one has refused me back; usually they would rather I come and stay with them, mostly due to my fun nature, willingness to help out, my ability to fix standard domestic issues or problems - from kitchen to technology.

I enjoy cooking and cook well...and not shy around a campfire or grill.

...All this and I love a clean space.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been fortunately to have been "a fly on the wall..." and seen many things and been many places others have not and am humbled by the opportunity to be trusted. However, I could also include:

+Body surfing in the Pipeline on the north shore of Hawaii (Oahu); RIGHT!?!?!

+Sitting in the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece (having a theater background and sitting in one of the homes of the industry was overwhelmingly inspirational.)

+Living in NYC for 15 years (period).

+Viewing the Mapa del Mundo west of London and London over all.

+Sitting in Rembrandt Park in Amsterdam, Holland enjoying 420 times

+Eating in Paris
