The two of us met 2017 in the Whitsundays (Airlie beach, northern QLD). I (Brit) was sailing around the area on my yacht, Gypsy and on my work catermeran, getaway. Dean was working on Hamilton island doing repair work post cyclone Debby.

We have both done a great amount of travelling prior to meeting and are incredibly excited to be taking on this new adventure together. The rough plan see's us buying a campervan in California somewhere to descend the coast via baja. Ideally the van will be sold around Costa Rica and we will be able to cross sailing the Panama canal off our bucket list. From there the journey will hopefully take us all the way down to Peru. We are incredibly lucky to be time rich allowing us to be open to adventure and opportunity.

We are bringing 5 surfboards with us with the intention of getting a couple of skateboards and fishing rods when the old van is accuired

As a collective we have an insatiable need to be near, in or on the water. Dean has been surfing his whole life all around the world and i am a really good tryer.

We are reconnecting with the couch surfing community to meet some like minded individuals. Meeting and knowing locals changes the expeience had in a town or city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing the world has landed me on the doorsteps of so many wonderful people, experiences and places that I wouldn't have even considered possible. Feeding off these things has exasibated my unquenchable thirst to see more.
