Living a productive life, which means staying in my community, of course, but also means broadening my horizons in the way that only travelling can provide

ABOUT ME

Carolyn and I live in a house with two cats. we always grow a garden. I write songs and play out in a band of mine called Be Brave Bold Robot (www.bebraveboldrobot.com)I was raised in the middle class suburbs of Sacramento, where Car Culture dominates, although, thankfully, I've grown out of that. I ride my bicycle to as many places as I can and advocate for the expansion and proliferation of Mass Transit systems this city (and many other US Cities) sorely need. I've remained living in Lovely Sacramento, as my family and friends are here, although I try to travel as much as possible. age 33 at this writing, I am realizing that it's never too late to travel, and that it is very important to travel. I work for the California State Government, which is stable and fairly interesting work... investment industry fraud regulation and investigation. I can say no more! Sacramento, California is an hour's drive away from a diverse array of Nature, and I try to get out to it as often as possible. Carolyn grew up middle class Boston Suburbs, went to a nice college. She then realized that she loved nature and Farming and embodies a desire to make a difference in our society toward a move back to a more natural way of living WITH nature, via Farming etc. it's not hunter gatherer, but it's probably as close as we can come.

it takes all kinds, and we are only as strong as the weakest of us, so one is simply to be very very patient and forgiving when dealing with their fellow man, and also maybe try to teach and help when possible.

Children and old people should be touched and waved to at every opportunity.

We have hosted two people at our house, most recently a French Tim Guy stayed and I believe he did some CS "vouch" for us... so that's good.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have traveled to friend's domiciles in various large cities all over America, although it is only recently that I have joined this website, and hosted two people, and been turned down the one time I tried to utilize this website when traveling to Maui... I, of course, realize this is possibly due to just bad circumstances, AND the transient nature of most people who live in Maui and hang out on this site...

Carolyn speaks fluent Spanish... we both hike and camp a bunch, and we're very friendly, so we'd be perfectly encouraging to people who might be reluctant to get off their asses... although being on your ass is an enjoyable pastime sometimes, too...
