ABOUT ME

I'm an American, a world-traveler, and an occasional hermit. I love to experience beauty in the world, in people, in systems, in performance. My obsession with the little things, in what I make, and how I observe--subtle detail, a refined technique, a perfect omelette--€”may be the death of me. I graduated with a B.S. in Physics but have yet to use it directly and I'm seeking more creative ventures. I am always hungry.

I love to meet people, discuss the worldly and other-worldly over some coffee. There is much to be done: partake in interesting exercise or collaborative art, bike around, propose and solve puzzles, scheme.

I purposely perform mundane physical tasks like washing dishes, opening doors, brushing my teeth, with my off-hand in hopes I will tend toward ambidexterity as I age. I'm not convinced it's working.

There is nothing I love more than getting lost in projects, making and fixing mistakes--”and losing track of time all the while.

Lately, I've been hosting folks in Portland, the city I've grown to love.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first signed up for CS while traveling Europe and have more recently surfed in Texas, before moving to Portland (for the second time) and beginning to host travelers. I've done my fair share of traveling and slept on many many different things around different people.
