I'm a creative - I'm a hairdresser and do graphic design and art/modelling in my spare time. After Iv'e put in enough time and saved up enough money, I like to get away for a while. So far that has mostly been in Europe.

I've gone to Europe every 5 years since I was 18 as a gift to myself. I find it to be very empowering to explore on my own, and find it to be so interesting and unique. I've traditionally stayed in either Airbnbs, with friends or family, or in hotels thus far, but would love to explore the world of couch surfing. I love meeting new people, and really appreciate the viewpoints and experience of a local. My best experiences have been visiting places where I had someone to show me around a bit.

If I'm not travelling or working, I'm likely dancing, drawing, reading, or adventuring with my partner and his beautiful golden retriever Maui.

Not accepting guests at this time. My apartment is being sold out from under me and it would be very disruptive with a guest staying to have strangers in our space (it's already going to be bad enough for me!) Sorry! Hoping to host again very soon when I have a more stable living situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really love to travel and am excited to explore the realm of couchsurfing. I've very much enjoyed travelling and exploring a city with locals in the past, and I think this community will have a lot to give me in terms of great travelling experiences and insights. After hosting my first couchsurfer, I am very excited to be hosted as well.

Planning on travelling to Europe Sept. 7th to Oct 5th and would love to set up some stays.

I like most music...pretty much anything other than rap and country. Indie/alternative is my jam. Metric, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Matthew Good, Feist, Andrew Bird, Alexisonfire, Alvvays, Camera Obscura, Damien Rice, Elliot Smith, Franz Ferdinand, Rammstein, Interpol, Kishi Bashi, Oh Pep! OK Go, Radiohead, Sharon Van Etten, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens, Tim Baker, Tokyo Police Club, Vampire Weekend, etc etc.

Movies....I can appreciate most with decent cinematography and storyline. Moulin Rouge is one of my faves. Love anything Hayao Miyazaki, Tarantino, Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, etc.

Books mostly and almost exclusively fantasy novels. Tolkien, CS Lewis, Anne Bishop, Mercedes Lackey, Sara Douglass, JK Rowling...
