ABOUT ME

I left the shores of my beloved Wellington City mid-2008 to embark upon an epic journey of the mysterious Northern Hemisphere. I love to travel and have since been to Quebec, Costa Rica, New York and more recently Scotland and the highlands. I believe in taking my time when traveling, and letting everything unfold naturally, however that might be.

PHILOSOPHY

Forget everything I think I know. It will only get in the way of new understanding.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Together with my girlfriend Gen (http://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=5HV9XMF), I have stayed with 3 different couch surfing hosts, 2 in Costa Rica, and 1 in Scotland, and have had an amazing time at each. Thanks Brenda, Marco and Iian! I look forward to being able to repay the favour when I return home.

All the good things in life, including music (playing, listening, and inventing), walking aimlessly, fine ales, lounging in parks, frisbee, reading good books, taking things apart (try it if you never have), playing with electronics and computers...

I tend to get infatuated with single authors and read all their books. This has happened with Tom Robbins, Carlos Castenada, Salman Rushdie, Douglas Coupland, Douglas Adams, Frank Herbert...
I'm very open to all music, especially if it's live. Some favourites include Pink Floyd, Boards of Canada, LCD Soundsystem, Cinematic Orchestra, Arab Strap, Radiohead, LTJ Bukem, Sigur Ros, Elbow, Yeasayer and many many more...
Movies? I'll watch anything as long as it's animated or a retro sci fi (preferably both).
