About Me
Hi, I'm Jana. Originally from the eastern part of Germany, I first moved to its South to study and after finishing my BA I moved to Oxford. Now, however, I'm travelling New Zealand and hope to meet many great people here!
I'm a curious person who wants to find out what's going on in and on our world. I already did and still want to travel different countries and cities to get to know new people and to learn about societies, cultures and languages. I love to travel, to read books, to hang out with my friends, enjoy board game nights, listening to good music, cooking delicious food and going to cinema and costume parties.
My philosophy is to learn as much as I can. I'm very curious and I put a lot of questions on people, if it's the right situation. I also think you should do what you like, and not what's good to make money, that doesn't make you happy at all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing simply because it's awesome! The idea of sharing moments, memories, culture and language is great.
... Not so great are the changes in this website every couple of months that make my profile look weird sometimes :/ Sorry about that.
By now I surfed several couches with friends all around Europe and in some Asian countries and hosted people from Europe, America and Asia :) It's been loads of fun and I recommend it to everyone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two amazing things I've seen in my life were islands. First the island of Helgoland with its reddish cliffs and all the water of the North Sea around and the other one has been the Île Saint Marguerite near Cannes. The atmosphere there was wonderful, only few people and nature everywhere. It looks so beautiful, I recommend it to everyone!
One amazing thing I've DONE (thanks for putting this in, Couchsurfing...): I have been on the green carpet of the Hobbit World Premiere in 2014 - as a guest. That was AMAZING. And entirely not my fault. :)

I could teach you about Germany, even the language if you want to. I want to learn about your language, your culture and most of all: about You. I can share opinions, food, clothes. :)
