Overview
About Me
I'd like to think of myself as a pretty outgoing dude. It has to be said that I live and die with music. For the past 8 years, I've been working as a writer for the best-selling music magazine in Turkey and its secondary, metal-based magazine (as of Feb 2014, we're an independent magazine, hooray!) . During my time in Istanbul, I tried my best to be politically active, don't know if it was enough though... After studying Political Science in French for 7 years (normally should've taken 5, haha), I moved to Barcelona for my Master's in Political Science. Now I'm on the way to Münster to do my second Master's in Cultural Studies, later on, hopefully a PhD.
Some random stuff:
- Hate clubbing.
- Looooove languages.
- While visiting a new place, I always feel like visiting local bars is a better option than museums.
- Proud to be the shoulder where death comes to cry.
- Flying in my dreams is my favorite regular experience.
- Hate weed and smoking. Don't hate smokers.
- Any kind of live music I'm willing to check out (except reggae).
- Highly irreligious.
Hopefully a professor of social sciences in the future.
"GET VERIFIED" These new bastards that rule Couchsurfing have decided, for some reason, to reset all the previosly verified profiles. I was a verified profile for 5 years, from 2011 till 2016, but now, it's disappeared.
PHILOSOPHY
Life's a piece of shit, when you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
You'll see it's all a show, keep 'em laughin as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to be a more active host in Istanbul, but since I'm either travelling or the living situation is slightly unstable, that's not possible at the moment. During my travels, I prefer CS to other stuff, since it really gives someone the insight of the place that they're visiting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
You can consult the references at the bottom of the page, they should give you a good perspective.
Interests
Music, cinema, politics, languages and travelling are the first things that come into mind. Having and sharing experiences is also another thing. And laughing. I'll laugh at pretty much anything.
Although I must say that metal music and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are quite important to me.
