ABOUT ME

I'm from Bangalore, India where I spent most of my life. I do Yoga ( or used to) and I love to write. I've always wanted to see more of the world and go beyond the boundaries of my home, culture and mind. I love to read, I love cats and dogs too, I love to learn different languages... its fascinating. In fact, I just love to learn. It really annoys me when I meet people who dont want to experience different things or try different things. I am currently expanding my cooking skills. I make nice Indian food by the way. I learnt salsa and forgot it too! I can speak decent Spanish and am on the way to learning Finnish :) I cant really think of anything else to tell you but I am really looking forward to meeting people from all over.

Oh yes, I'm afraid that I am the serious type, I mean I have a very calm, cool sort of nature and am not the kind to go 'wild' or 'crazy'. If I am super comfortable with a person I can be more talkative and and a little crazy.

But I'm not serious in a bad way, its just that I cant really be flippant or loud. And I have no problem with people who are. One friend says I bring a sense of order to a gathering, whatever that means. Hey, I'm nice. I'm the quietish type, I will never be the life of the party, that's all. :)

PHILOSOPHY

We are all unique and should actively develop ourselves, learn, study, experience, take risks and make mistakes and succeed as well so that we are the best that we can be.
I believe that we should work and do what we can for others but not to the extent that we degrade ourselves.
I believe that no matter what life hands us we can choose to do what's right and honourable... we can control our life, because we can control our mind and thoughts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently in Vaasa and would love to show you around (unfortunately there isn't too much to see, and when its cold you cant even go for a nice exploratory cycle ride) and I would love to cook Indian food for you at my little apartment and maybe have coffee or a beer with you.

I can teach you how to make Indian bread - Chapathis. Some lentil curry, basic Indian chicken or vegetables.
I can teach you some Yoga, 3 varieties of Suryanamaskar (sun salutations), and several basic, simple, yet strengthening postures.
