Originally I set this profile up with my two friends (roommates at the time) and we decided to fly to Europe on a whim. It was an amazing experience! We surfed from Belgium to Germany and then Holland before returning home to Canada. Admittedly, it has been a while, but I've attended local events in Montreal ( shout out to Next Door Pub in NDG), enjoyed staying on a few people's "couches" ( floors with my camping mat, I'm not picky) in Berlin, Amsterdam, Ghent and Brussels. Meeting and chilling with each host enriched my trip the way nothing else could have. I also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Danish Emiliuh when she visited Montreal and we went swing dancing! Experiencing the openness and generous hospitality of strangers is, as lame as it sounds, fucking heartwarming to say the least.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met this gypsy woman who had just returned from India while i was working as a cashier and told me of her experiences with Couch Surfing. She said to me, after buying a series of chocolate bars as gifts to her current couch owner, "You are my people. Check it out it's an amazing time!" She was totally high, which is fine, and I was like, "Yea!!that's a sweet ass concept! I'll do that." So global yet so communal. So then I did.

Interests

I like to think of myself as crafty, constantly making things better with the help of creativity and inventiveness. I also LOVE to dress up and create costumes. Travel has always been a HUGE interest of mine but sadly I haven't been able to explore even nearly as much as I'd like.

Well, learning is my favourite, first of all. I personally wish I could just stay in school forever! If only it were free. I can probably teach you how to sew or make random props for a costume with crap you have lying around.
