About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To become a successful ceramicist \ potter and to enjoy my daily grind.

ABOUT ME

I live and work in Vancouver, BC. Born and raised in the lower mainland, I moved into the city from my hometowns of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows after completing my studies of Fine Arts and Ceramics at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

I currently work for an MSP. Think IT Crowd x The Office. My general work and life experience lead me to joining a small business doing IT services for other small \ medium businesses. I'm grateful for the enjoyment I get out of my full-time job and working with the people I get to work with daily.

Unambitious outside of just enjoying my life, at the moment my pursuits are getting to know more people, forming lasting friendships with friends and co-workers, and settling into a creative lifestyle with painting, drawing, and ceramics.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoying the most mundane things in life will make the exciting things even better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in townhome in Vancouver and had always loved hosting people. It has been a number of years, but restarting the use of my account in 2024. I've met some of the best people hosting, and even made a lifelong close friend after guesting one time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had people surf on my couches for various amount of time. We've had some of the most generous surfers who will be difficult to live up to when I travel. I am not a fantastic cook like many of those who have visited me.

Interests

I love to eat delicious food, bake, cook, play D&D, draw, make pottery, play video games, watch television and cycle! I love hearing about people's travels, meeting new people all over the world and learning about their lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

Science fiction films are my favourite and a close second is fantasy. I will never say no to watching the LOTR trilogy.

I am more of a television person, and I do love a good cartoon. Show me something that is cheesy and happy and I will almost certainly enjoy it.

Steven Universe, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Rachel Bloom's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are top TV shows that come to mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most recent two ride;
Summary 2022 cycled all offroad 570 kms through Vancouver Island and then down the Sunshine Coast.
Summer 2023 did some gravel bike ride through Mongolia with an assistance camping tour.

Teach, Learn, Share

Arts and craft! I love ceramics and working with mud to create amazing things. If you have art supplies or want to borrow some of mine would love to plan a creative outing or evening in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Openness to share and discuss life experiences. General flexibility when travelling.

Countries I’ve Visited
