Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To offer hospitality to travellers, and get to know some interesting people.
ABOUT ME
Hospitable, relaxed, love to travel & meet other travellers. We like to think we're fun to be around.
PHILOSOPHY
We are followers of Jesus. We realise that might put some people off (then again, it might also make some quite keen to stay with us!), but our home is open to you and we would love to get to know you, facilitate your travels, show you our town, and talk about life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We got involved with Couchsurfing as hosts in February 2014, and have hosted quite a few couch surfers - all good experiences!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've had quite a few groups of couch surfers stay with us since early 2014, and have enjoyed every experience! In 2015 we travelled to Europe and went to a CS catch-up in Prague and stayed with two CS families in Ireland - all good experiences.
Interests
We love the beach, music, good food, wine and beer, board games, movies - preferably all of these whilst hanging out with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Deb's favourite movies are Napoleon Dynamite and Gentlemen Broncos. Steve's are Dogville and Morvern Callar. Yeah, we have pretty different tastes in movies!! But we both love What We Do In the Shadows. The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy is Deb's favourite book. Steve is the one you should talk to about music. :o)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sydney Harbour is one of Deb's favourite places in the world, and she has spent a few Australia Days and New Year's Eves on or around it - always spectacular!!
Deb has travelled extensively in Europe, which was fabulous - one of the most memorable times was dancing through the streets of Pamplona on the first day of the San Fermin Festival (running of the bulls). Travelling to remote islands in the Solomons was also a great adventure.
Teach, Learn, Share
We love to learn about other cultures, and we would love to share ours with you. If you'd like to talk theology/religion, we're always up for it! :o) We have bikes you're welcome to borrow to explore the area, and we might even be able to lend you a car if you have a licence and are confident driving on the left hand side of the road.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We both love to chat and get to know people, talking about travel, theology, photography, music, etc. Debbie loves to cook and would be very happy to help out in the kitchen or cook you a meal. Steve loves photography and would be happy to take some nice photos of you and your family.
