About Me

My friends often describe me as crazy and a lot of fun, yet in truth, I tend to be somewhat shy around new acquaintances. Born and raised in São Paulo, I've had the fortune of traveling extensively from a young age, thanks to my parents. These travels have kindled a deep curiosity and passion for exploring diverse cultures and connecting with people from all walks of life. Although I relish spontaneous and enjoyable moments with friends and family, I equally treasure quiet times spent engrossed in a good book. Professionally, I am a psychologist with a master's degree in clinical psychology. I deeply love my work and embrace my daily routine with enthusiasm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I strongly believe in the idea of sharing not just our couch, but also stories, adventures, and more importantly, our diverse experiences and cultures. This exchange is what motivated me to join Couchsurfing, a platform that facilitates this interaction in a unique way. Through Couchsurfing, I can connect with people from all over the world, enriching my life with perspectives and experiences that go beyond my own.

Interests

For me, there's rarely such a thing as bad weather; I'm always open to trying different activities and I'm up for almost anything. I have a special passion for outdoor activities, especially those I can share with my dogs and friends. Being with friends is always the best part of any outing, whether it's enjoying a cold beer at a bar with outdoor spaces and music, or just relaxing in a park. The right company turns any moment into a special occasion.

Music, Movies, and Books

As an eclectic person, my tastes in movies, music, and books reflect a broad spectrum of interests and curiosities, spanning from intriguing science fiction narratives to deep reflections on society. In films, I delve into stories that explore complex themes and unique worldviews, such as in "Interstellar," which ventures through space and time, "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," an engaging psychological thriller, "Blade Runner 2049," questioning reality and humanity, and "Ex Machina," probing the ethics of artificial intelligence.

In music, I relish both the contemplative melodies of post-rock and ambient music, and the timeless classics of rock from The Beatles and David Bowie. Additionally, I appreciate the richness of contemporary Brazilian music from artists like Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, who blend traditional and modern elements in their compositions.

Regarding literature, I am fascinated by works that allow me to explore alternative realities and deep reflections on life choices, like Matt Haig's "The Midnight Library." I am also captivated by both classic and contemporary Brazilian literature, which offers insights into our own culture and society. Books like "Dom Casmurro" by Machado de Assis and "City of God" by Paulo Lins are examples of this. Additionally, I find escapism and reflection in the universes of science fiction and fantasy by authors like Neil Gaiman and in epic narratives like Frank Herbert's "Dune."

These varied tastes not only enrich my entertainment experience but also expand my understanding of the world and the human condition.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Although I value all my achievements, I consider myself to be quite realistic and down-to-earth. Therefore, I believe that simply living is, in itself, a great challenge and one of the most incredible things I do on a daily basis. Living is a remarkable journey!

Teach, Learn, Share

I consider myself open-minded and curious, and I want to share some of the strategies I use in my daily life to promote well-being and good mental health. I am also open to learning new strategies, as I believe that in all interactions, we have the opportunity to teach and learn
