About Me

I like listening to people and being active. I don't like to be too serious and am open to new experiences and perspectives without being critical.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I like to travel on a more personal level.

I once went to my local zoo 5x in one summer with my two younger brothers. After exploring the conventional paths the first time or two, we became bored. So we went on all the hidden garden routes. Eventually we would just ask other visitors to pick a spot on the map to visit. The summer culminated in the three of us packing a three course picnic complete with cloth napkins, real plates, and silverware and dining in the middle of the zoo.

Couch surfing is like going on that type of picnic, because you're making the trip outside of conventions and it's hopefully more memorable and rich.

Interests

I like to play and watch soccer. Big fan of trying new foods and cooking my own. Terrible at baking because I don't like to measure. I have a big family.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like live music at local places and dancing, along with chill music like John Denver, funk like Vulfpeck, opera like Luciano Pavarotti, and Latin and Indian dance themes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed the Great Wall of China two years in a row, and the second time I explored an unrestored section of it. It was like walking through a 16' wide (~3m) garden of underbrush and scrub trees.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you basic juggling, English, and share stories. I know a little about violin and music and like to play and sing in duets or join larger groups. I'm handy at sewing and mending, and can tailor some simple things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm willing to share silence where needed, jokes, games, time, food, clean-up help, and common interests.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Canada, China, France, Italy, Monaco, Spain
