About Me

ABOUT ME

My friends would say I'm kind, compassionate, nurturing and fun. I live a balanced life where I work hard, play hard and don't take life too seriously.
I live on the east central side of Austin which is becoming more and more interesting as it becomes gentrified. My son is now 20 and is attending Antioch College where he is learning to be a social activist. He stays with me on and off during the school year when he feels led to depart from his college friends and visit me. The school doesn't have a normal summer break. They go year around with a few breaks within the year.
I have lived many lives. A mother and wife of 18 years, lived on a community I started in South Austin raising farm animals and vegetables with some of my friends and now living on the east central side of town enjoying Austin Life while I work as a massage therapist and facialist out of a studio in my home.

Interests

I enjoy playing the guitar and singing. I'm good for a non professional. I like dancing extaticly and social dance when I have time. I enjoy catching moments on my camera when I can do it and not interrupt the moment. Like when people aren't looking. I garden. I like growing vegetables and composting but I'm growing flowers right now. I'm proud that they survivied that my zennias survived the heat this summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yesterday I was driving 70 miles per house from the Kerrville Folk Festival to Austin. A female police officer was suddenly standing in my lane pointing at me. I did not at all understand that she was trying to get me to go to the other lane. I slammed on my brakes and barely missed her and she was so pissed, she was screaming at the top of her lungs and banging on the car window with my friends infant in the car. I am awestruck at how she thought she was going to get anything to go her way. When I told her I was going to call her superviser and tell him what a raging human she was acting like, she didn't write me a ticket.
I am awestruck often. But last week, it was by a family of racoons that decided to sneak up into my backyard. I know they do that all the time but this time I was in my outdoor bath, and I was amazed that they all let me watch them scavage while I watched. It was like the bathtub made a safe enough barrier for them.
