About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be with what is. And to stay curious. To balance life, work, family and creativity. "Your life is an occasion. Rise to it!" Finding the present moment. Expressing, creating my path.

ABOUT ME

I am a seeker and a dreamer. I love human connection. I am inquisitive and enjoy conversation. I also love music and art, dance and community. And silence. I love this planet and take part to make a positive impact. I am a progressive and though I'm not afraid to look at the bitter truth - I always find hope and love in the equation. I enjoy humor and darkness - both. I am earthy and bubbly. I am a California native that transplanted to NY to experience the vibrancy of the city as a performer and human, to soak it up. Then returned to the Sf bay area, home.

PHILOSOPHY

You're Alive - So Live!
It isn't about finding your path, its about creating it.
Food is brain power -- we should eat to get the biggest 'bang for our buck' -- in other words not cheaply, not fake foods and processed shit, but getting the biggest, longest lasting natural high possible. And it should taste yummy too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined when I was homeless in nyc, but then didn't get to participate until I was traveling through Europe and it was simply amazing! I stayed with CS host for all but 3 days of two months. I met so many wonderful human beings. Then I moved back to California and live near SF where I have had the great pleasure of joining local activities at the CS homebase and taking CS visitors sightseeing - in my neck of the woods (the great Redwoods). I believe in community. I'm a Burner (BMan) and come from a long line of community activists. Side story: My great grandmother that lived to the ripe age of 103! - when asked her secret to living a long life said, "You have to eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and... LIKE PEOPLE." :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now surfed with many wonderful hosts! And met many more couchsurfers at some meetings here in Marseille! My experiences have been completely positive and so lovely. I feel a part of a world community and very inspired to be involved in local CS activities at home, and look forward to the opportunity to be a host myself. So many beautiful people I have met.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've always related to hummingbirds because of their fast beating wings - like my heart, my energy and focus. And someone once was teaching me to slow down and said, "You know even hummingbirds have to land sometime. " One week before embarking on my journey - I saw a beautifully still, shiny green feathered hummingbird still on a branch.

Teach, Learn, Share

My eighty year old aunt saw a butterfly on a flight of steps she was walking up. She said, "What are you doin there? Don't you know its dangerous?" And she proceeded to pick the butterfly up and toss it into the air. It flew around and returned to the same spot on the steps. She picked it up again and tossed it into the air. And again it flew around and landed in the same spot on the stairs. One more time she tried to help it on its way and it stubbornly returned. And then she realized that it was there to teach her -- "you can try to give a helping hand, you can pick someone up - but you can't direct their path -you can't tell them where to go." I love that story.
