Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
less stuff, more fun!
ABOUT ME
happy, optimistic, honest, open, minimalist. Currently traveling full-time while living in my van, so generally self-contained, but turning to Couchsurfing as a fallback option in case of extreme heat
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I believe most people are happy to help others and sometimes hotel prices are ridiculous when all you really need is a place to crash and a quick shower. Also because real human connections are so much more satisfying than a sterilized hotel room.
Interests
knitting, walking, seeing live music, simple living, skydiving, minimalism, traveling, unschooling, architecture, vandwelling, soapmaking, recycling, learning, connecting, exploring, random acts of kindness, simple pleasures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't pick just one, so here are a few: skydiving x 3, hanging w/ the whales in Hawaii, attending a wedding on a glacial moraine in Alaska in a town 60 miles off paved roads, feeding the pigeons in San Marco Square with my kids, visiting a salt mine in Austria and coal mine in southwestern Pennsylvania, coming thiiiiis close to running out of gas in the middle of nowhere in Ireland and Scotland, soaking in the thermal baths of Hotel Gellert in Budapest, canoeing with my one-month-old, riding my Tropical Toboggan in Hartford's Art Sled Derby, seeing >115 Grateful Dead shows, trekking w/ family of four around Europe with no reservations and no particular plan, floating on air in an indoor skydiving chamber, floating on supersaturated saltwater in a sensory deprivation chamber (and liking it), and so much more.
Or maybe arriving at empty-nester status with zero debt, two adult "kids" on good paths, nothing holding me back, insatiable curiosity and wanderlust, and the whole world as my playground. That feels like every bit as much of a noteworthy status as any of the above. Currently at a crossroads. I can't wait to see what's next.
