Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have utilized couchsurfing while traveling, first experience was in Europe and loved it! Have not been able to host yet, unfortunately, due to living in places like Yemen! However, I have met up with CouchSurfers and really enjoy the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I signed on to couch surfing prior to a trip to Europe, as I was going to a few different places where I didn't know anyone. I had heard about it from my sister, and have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences of surfing and think it's a fantastic concept.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Factfulness" was a really good recent read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sun rise over the Caspian Sea in Baku. Followed the path of Paul in Damascus. Explored ruins in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and a few other places. Floated in the dead sea. Visited a monkey forest on Bali. Taken a 45 hour road trip from LA to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Las Vegas. Picked peanuts in Guinea. Most recently, fed hyenas with a stick from my mouth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some of my favorite places to eat in various parts of the world, quiet beaches to explore, and probably random things about Yemen unintentionally! Very happy to buy a meal or drinks (or both!) as a thank you for hosting.
