I'm a native Sarawakian who is very passionate about living in this side of the world, embracing what has been determined for me from the MOST HIGH. I truly believe that we are here on Earth for a given purpose. Each of us have a different set of background and in which each individual is a truly unique feature in this universe; and life is a learning ground for one never stops learning as long as he breathes.

I'm an introvert by nature. In the past, I don't normally initiate a conversation when I find myself surrounded by unfamiliar faces. However, I have learned to overcome this by doing the opposite on a few attempts, like talking to the passenger sitting next to me on my flights, which I succeeded all the time. Doing this, over the years, has progressively built my confidence to embark on solo trips. I like meeting up with people, explore new places together, try local cuisines and learn more about them.

I think travelling is not only about visiting new places, but to gain new experiences, learning about people and places and the best way to do it is through the eyes of the locals.

Using Couchsurfing as a guest is the best way to blend with locals and grasp an idea of their way of life, cultures, traditions and beliefs.

While as a Couchsurfing host, I wish to possibly show that people of different races, languages, colours or religious believe can meet, befriend and see each other in a respectful manner as they deserve great hospitality.

I'm fascinated by thriller romance series like Nora Robert's books, though i don't find myself reading a lot. I prefer to read ebooks on many different subjects.

Movies
One movie that i watch to get inspiration is a 20 yrs old movie, Sex and Mrs. X. The storyline, though is not as erotic as it sounds, simply inspires women to find the best of herself, by conquering the power of self- confidence and using the art of seduction in a sexy, decent, elegant and acceptable manner, nothing promiscuous!

I'm into historical movies, drama series. I particularly got hooked on Turkish series, Muhtesem Yuszyil or The Magnificent Century, so much so that I've grown interest in visiting Istanbul in the near future.

I work Mon-Fri and spend most of my weekends with my family apart from ocassional weekends at home, so I can't host without prior arrangements. However, you may want to leave me a message about your travel if you wish to surf or meet up. I live 10mins from the airport and 30 mins from the city centre.

Come not as a traveller, but as a friend, I'd happily take you to a few tourist spots around the city such as the Semengoh Wildlife RehabilitationCentre, Benuk Longhouse, Annah Rais Longhouse, Wind Cave, Fairy Cave, Sarawak Cultural Village, to name a few.

You may also want to explore and go hiking on Mount Singai CMPC and enjoy fresh natural environment.

I love to discover more about people, cultures and languages. I like to know about your travel experiences so I could learn from it and see the world using another perspectives. That, being said, can be done while chilling over a few sips of drinks in the evening, if you fancy.
