Overview
About Me
My names Dec and I have lived and worked throughout SE Asia for the last 3 and a bit years. I hop from one location to the next on friends recommendations finding work and educating myself through the jobs I have done and the people I have met, imagine a backpacker job and I have almost certainly done it, scrubbing toilets, tour guide, "Doctor" and most recently an English teacher. Starting a new chapter in my travel life and heading to New Zealand with my beautiful girlfriend to spend time in an amazing country with a whole host of new adventures in mind. Looking for hosts so we can really make the most out of our time and see what make your city beautiful in your eyes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been living and traveling around Asia for over 3 years and some of the best friends I have made have raved about couch surfing, about how they felt it helped them experience a place, a people, a culture far better than you ever can staying in hostels. I have been lucky enough to make some amazing friends who love couch surfing and hope to meet, be hosted and hopefully befriend many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had to ampute a gangrenous toe of an elderly slum dweller and pull out 47 maggots then disinfecting and bandage the wound in a slum clinic in Kolkata despite my protests of being 19 and not a doctor. It is very hard to refuse a nun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been a teacher of English, Paintball, Quad Biking, Archery, Shooting and Golf. Though I am happy to teach you or help you develop confidence in whatever skills we want to develop.
I want to learn everything! It's a cliche I know but I have notebooks filled with languages and cultural observations from everywhere I have visited, while some difference seem strange at first they soon become endearing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughs, genuine curiosity and an eagerness to learn about wherever we may meet. I would love to share with you some of the knowledge I have of other
countries I have been to that you might want to visit. Great memories would be what I would ultimately want to share :)
