New to couchsurfing.com, but not new to the idea.

I'm a graduate student at Binghamton University originally from Pune, India. I've been living in USA for the past year now. I am a terrible poet (go read my poems at https://kothawale.com), an amateur singer/musician (https://soundcloud.com/decached). I am a big fan of cartoons, especially the Classic cartoon network (1992-2004). It's no coincidence that I like it as I was born in 1992.

Big fan of exploring exciting corners of cities which typical tourists don't know about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love traveling, which is why I've been to 7 different states in USA in the past 6 months. New York, Oregon, Washington, New Jersey, Missouri, Illinois, California. Checkout my upcoming trips to see the states I'm visiting in the upcoming weeks. I love weekend getaways, but I usually end up traveling alone. Couchsurfing is the best way for me to meet people while I'm traveling. I usually don't "plan" my trips, and prefer being spontaneous, which is why meeting locals is so important for me. They somehow know niche places which are fun and tourists don't travel to.
