Overview
About Me
I am from the north of England, but currently studying Medicine at University College London. In addition to English, I am fluent in both French and Spanish and relish any opportunity to immerse myself in foreign culture. I like to think of myself as a free spirit and spend the majority of my spare time and money on travelling and socialising.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a unique platform that allows us to engage effortlessly with a diverse and animated community. Through cultural exchange and cooperation we are able to discover so much more about both ourselves and the places we visit than would otherwise be possible, which serves to only further enrich our travels.
Interests
I enjoy the simple things in life: good food, interesting company and the natural world. I love historic cities, the coast and the opportunity to swim in open water. Music is also very important to me, and I spend a lot of my times going to raves in the UK and abroad.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have very diverse taste in music and will listen to anything from Afrobeat, Jazz, Blues and Soul to Reggae, Drum and Bass and Garage. Janis Joplin, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Nina Simone, Otis Redding, Peter Tosh, Manu Chao and Fela Kuti are amongst my favourite artists of all time.
In addition to music, I am also a film fanatic. Some of my favourites include: Requiem for a Dream, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Pierrot - Le Fou, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulin, La Haine, Tesis, Relatos Salvajes and Amores Perros.
I love reading and have enjoyed far too many books to list them all here. Having said this, one of the most memorable books I have read recently is 'When breath becomes air.' It is the memoir of an American neurosurgeon and I challenge anyone to not be moved by its honesty and integrity.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most profound experiences of my life was transiently living a nomadic lifestyle in Beneficio, a commune located in Órgiva in the Spanish Alpujarra.
Teach, Learn, Share
You that seek what life is in death,
Now find it in air that once was breath.
New names unknown, old names gone:
'Till time end bodies, but souls none.
Reader! then make time, while you be,
But steps to your eternity.
