Présentation
À propos de moi
I'm currently traveling with my girlfriend to produce videos around the world :) We are trying to produce fun videos that promote cultural exchanges by having locals trying different food and drinks around the world.
We are currently in Napoli, Italy and would love to have English speaking locals to collaborate in our videos.

I recently worked for 2 hectic years in the business world, and have finally decided to change up the pace a bit by making videos and shooting photographs.
I grew up in a big city in China but spent my entire adolescence in Alaska. I studied on the East Coast of the US and is looking to explore the world before settling somewhere. I just finished a two months trip on the US West Coast and had a wonderful time in cities and various national parks. If you are ever interested in planning an itinerary to go to the US, I can give you a lot of good pointers for sure!
In general I come off very easygoing person but I have my pensive and introspective side. I like to keep up with events of the world, current and past. Thinking about where we were and where we are going is one thing that keeps curious to learn more through reading and experiencing the world myself. I love talking and I promise you won't be bored for hours.
At the end of the day, I'm a sensible person and receptive to other people's viewpoints. I'm fairly unattached to places and have a very malleable mind. I'd be glad to hear where you have been in life and the things you care to dedicate yourself to.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Mainly using the site for finding couches to crash. I did a loop around the US East Coast and Lakes region last summer and had a ton of fun. Most of the hosts I've met were wonderful and they gave me a lot of hope and trust in the Couchsurfing community.
I just decided to start hosting too since now I have my own place! I'm in the 13e arrondissement, 10 minutes to metro 6 and 7, from there 20 minutes to the main sites. Unfortunately it's a very modest little studio (20 m^2) and I do not own a couch. Meanwhile, I can offer you historically significant hardwood floors and a sleeping bag. I also have some towels so the set-up would be at least comfortable. There's a small kitchen set-up with a fridge and I will promise to share whatever cheese or wine I have in store.
One person only! If you haven't figured out the space situation. Please only request if you have surfed more than twice. This is just for self-protection.
I'm currently a student and I have classes one or two days a week. Meanwhile, I definitely cannot accommodate any requests on Sunday and Monday nights. No more than 2-3 nights please. Feel free to send a message to check with me since I will be traveling too.
If I decide to host you, rest assured I can give you a few hours of my time during the week (more on weekends) to show you around. I do need to study a bit so I might show you a good metro stop to get off at and then perhaps I can rejoin you some time later.
No rowdy party-ers looking to get wasted and looking for a crash-pad post marathon clubbing. Nothing against the lifestyle just does't work well with my schedule.
To filter out the pure copy-pastes, please indicate your level of excitement of sleeping on hardwood floors on a scale from 1 to reinforced steel. Also please give me as much detail about your arrival and departure as possible so I can better accommodate you in my schedule. Also write something interesting about yourself that's relevant to some of the random things I listed below.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Lost in Translation, American Beauty, movies that always seems refreshing even after you've watched it more than a handful of times.
I was very into indie stuff but I like more upbeat and pop-y sounding songs. My taste is still expanding and these days I also listen to a lot of cello music and various derivatives of jazz that would upset purists (or so I was told).
Books were my life during my adolescence but these days sadly I only flip open a few non-fiction works once in a while. I enjoyed ficton writers like Kundera, Marquez, Camus. I also like David Foster Wallace and Jonathan Franzen's essay works. Writings that stay with me are mostly sociology and lit criticism related. Foucault probably is the most impressionable for me. Recently I picked up a Paul Auster book named the Invention of Solitude and I've been fascinated by the profundity in his economical candidness.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Got swindled into a wedding in Tibet.
Stood on top of a glacier
Bar hopped with a rich heir 3AM on a Sunday in Paris
Youtube frontpage for 48 hours
Motorbiked to an abandoned casino in the clouds on top of a mountain
and many more to come...
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I'm fully fluent in Chinese and was raised in the culture. I'm sure I have a lot to share. I'm currently trying to get better at my French so if you are a decent speaker I'll try to embarrass myself by practicing with you.
I studied economics and worked in a related field and could help you with various numbers and financial/investment subjects.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I'm a decent cook and if you give me free reign to your kitchen I'd be sure to cook you up something decent that you might never have had in your life!
Otherwise, I can help you financial and investment advisory related things... if that's your cup of tea.
