About Me
Hello, everyone, I'm André. I've spent a decade venturing into the world of Computer Science, working with art and technology. I've helped some artists to create and develop their artworks with the aid of technology. And hey, I've also dabbled in my own little projects along the way.
Currently, I live in a super cozy house in Brasília, Brazil, where I share space with two adorable kitties, a adorable dog, and a great friend. This house is almost always open, welcoming and embracing. It's filled with lush plants and trees bearing delicious fruits.
But listen up, the pandemic made me take a turn in life! I decided to embark on a new path, one of healing and health. This year, in 2023, I graduated as an acupuncture technician. It's delightful to be able to take care of the body and mind of those in need ;)
I feel like I'm going through a phase of changes, so I've chosen to embark on a sabbatical journey to rediscover myself and chart new courses. I'm in search of welcoming places and people who can share a little bit of their world and everyday life with me. No traditional tourism for me. Back then, I created a system (no longer available) to promote local tourism. It was called "Poetic Trails," where local artists crafted paths filled with art throughout the city. And that's still my vibe. I want to explore the hidden corners and special stories of your city and yours.
Oh, and in the past year, I've jumped on the musical creativity bandwagon, specifically in electronic music. I'm learning to "program" sounds on synthesizers. And on my journey, I'm bringing three of them along for some small jam sessions o/ o/ ;))
So, folks, that's it! I'm ready to embark on this adventure and explore the best that life has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been registered on the platform since 2011 because I've always found the idea of exchange it offers really cool, but I haven't fully explored it yet. The people I've hosted at my place were usually friends or friends of friends.
Now, in this new adventure I'm planning, there will be times when I'll be flying solo. Usually, I stay in hostels, but I'm in search of more authentic experiences with locals and, of course, fellow travelers too ;)
I'm here to exchange cultures and live exciting experiences ;) I believe that getting to know other people's universes brings about a greater empathy for the world. I'm always on the lookout for new friends around the globe, seeking to understand and respect different characteristics and cultures, while also enjoying sharing my own perspectives on life ;)
