About Me

My name is Gabriela but most of my friends call me Gaby. I was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Dominican Republic. I’ve lived in Barcelona, New York and Miami (where I currently reside). I enjoy meeting new people, exploring new territories and trying new foods and crafts.

My curiosity has led me to explore the complexities of our societies. I have a B.S. in Hospitality Management, a B.A. in Human Health and Nutrition and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration. I research about migration, integration and sustainable development. I speak fluent English and Spanish and a bit of French and Portuguese. I am always up for a good conversation over good food and good company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to explore new places, meet new people and experience life as a local. I would like to gain insight about the lifestyle and culture in the places that I am visiting.

Interests

Go out with friends, meet new people, travel, go kayaking, biking, hiking or for a swim. I enjoy all sports and I am always looking to try new foods. :)
