About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people, experience places.

ABOUT ME

I've been teaching (high school) and living in Toronto the past five years. I've worked and lived overseas in Egypt, Turkey, Japan, and Peru. Headed to Southeast Asia for the winter, didn't feel like the Canadian one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to meet some cool people who can give me the inside scoop on their towns or cities, perhaps join me on some adventures, or simply offer tips and advice.

Interests

Playing piano, violin, and guitar is a passion. I'm trying to build my musical chops so I can get into the music classroom as a teacher.

I love the mountains, and I love to climb them. I'm looking forward to getting back to Nepal next year to sink my teeth into the Himilayas. Living in the concrete jungle makes me go a bit stir crazy, so getting back to nature is oh so necessary.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musical tastes range from reggae to rock, blues, indie, folk, funk, etc. It's kind of everywhere. These days I'm listening to new indie beats and trying to discover new artists. Working on violin a lot, so the classical list is also expanding.

Some favourite authors include: Tom Robbins, Leih Tzu, Hemmingway, Vargas Llosa, Marquez,....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with the penguins, sharks, turtles, and seals in the Galapagos. (highly recommended)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching is what I do, though its' mainly high school math. I don't want to scare people with Calculus lessons. Happy to pass my knowledge of ukulele and guitar.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Free ukulele or guitar lessons for beginners, no problem! Travel tips and stories for a range of countries around the world.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Egypt, Japan, Peru, Turkey
