ABOUT ME

I've recently returned to New York after a year of travelling (in Hawaii, South America, and Europe). We (my fiance and I) just got an apartment in Battery Park City and are both pleasantly surprised by just how must we love it.
I enjoy exploring the city when I have time, but unfortunately work 70+ hours a week right now which leaves little time for much besides eating and sleeping. :( My boyfriend, however, works much less and would be happy to entertain couch surfers while I plug away at my computer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent a bit of time with couchsufers during my travels last year. I'm looking forward to completing the couch-surfing karmic circle now by hosting now that I've got a pemanent home again.

Interests

Biology. Geology. Hiking. I'm a horrible student of history, but I think it's important, so I'm trying to learn more. I really enjoy learning languages, right now I'm working on spanish.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since my youth, I'd always liked this often forgotten movie with Steve Martin, called L.A. story. It's about a talking signpost in L.A. that helps a man to find true love. I think that i like it becuase, despite my background in science, there's a small bit of me that likes to / needs to / wants to believe in magic in the world.
