ABOUT ME

We both are products of the 'Garden City' of Bangalore, easily one of the most modern and beautiful cities of India. We are a rare match with: a fighter Pilot by profession and a practising Dentist. We are very fond of travelling and exploring new experiences. Marriage has been one prolonged honeymoon and we would love it keep it that way. Just that CS seems to be good way share our good fortune and comapany with similar like minded people. We realise that life is really short and that one lifetime is too short a time for the million things to be done, experienced and lived. Godspeed.

PHILOSOPHY

Experiences are what constitute a life. We believe that it is really possible for all the people of the world to live harmoniously with one another. There is so much beauty and magic in the world that a lifetime would be insufficient to savour it all. hence we feel the need to reach out and enjoy all that this world as to offer.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have particpated in a few get-together, treks etc in Bangalore. New years' bash was of course with fellow CSs. Treks are our specialty.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best interaction has been on the last new years eve at Mamta's place in Bangalore. Turned out Mamata was an old trekking buddy(5 years ago). We danced away the whole night with my brothers and other CS members. What was heart warming was the warmth we recieved despite hardly knowing anyone prior to our visit. I also was a part of this overnight trek to Skandagiri and a party at MOJO's

Interests

Interests are what one might consider routine except for a weakness to adventure sports like Mountaineering, trekking, scuba diving( yet to indulge), rafting and outdoor sports-mainly basketball and hockey.
we really love movies and read thrillers. I prefer hollywood while Champa is into the more 'masala' bollywood. Interest in music is mainly restricted to Rock.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Forrest Gump, Schiendler's list, Artificial Intelligence, Black, Life is beautiful, Sparrow(persian)...the list is endless
Music: Mainly rock_ Pink flyod is the all time fav. Linkin park is recent second, Nirvana, Metallica etc are other of my fav. Champa prefers the more dramatic hindi film songs.
Books: All kinds- Mainly thrillers- Robert Ludlum: the bourne series, God of small things, Roots, The Alchemist. Catch-22 is my all time fav.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have always flown the Mig-21s. Flying at supersonic speeds as close to the ground is the closest one can get to being in heaven while still alive. Together marriage would be our first adventure and we have survived 3 years of each other, additionally, we have mountaineered in the Himalayas,rock climbing at the Manali, snorkelling in the Andamans and Rafting down the river Ganga(Oct 09) count as some of my most amazing experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

Flying and Dentistry areour specialities. Champa is turning out to be a very good cook so one can get some tips about our indian cuisine. Also we are fairly familiar with popular places in India namely Andamans, Goa, Rajasthan, bangalore and Karnataka. Next year we plan a trip to the East India and that woud add to our knowledge base.
