ABOUT ME

I'm a happy, confident, creative and positive person spending most of my time working hard at being as positive as I can and appreciating the good in people around me.

I enjoy learning; from meeting new people and doing new things to inspiring films, music and good books. Laughing is also very important to me!

My friends say I have a calming influence on them which I think I relate to in others. I also see myself as an open minded, tolerant and interested individual hoping to give more than take, and to hopefully spread a vibe of positivity and inspiration in people I meet.

PHILOSOPHY

Giving without conditions is probably my number one goal in life right now. I think that people are all the same within, so I try not to take stuff too personally on face value and try to find the good within, as it were. Does that make sense? If so, we'll probably get along! Also I must find as many opportunities to laugh as possible. It feels so beneficial to me and anyone around me. I'll add more later.

My main aim as a member of Couch Surfing is to explore more of the world, meet new and interesting people, experience their customs and outlook on life whilst taking any opportunities to give something back to the local community if I can.

Interests

Music. Love it all. Nothing more to add there. I'm really interested in helping people in someway. Maybe by listening or getting my hands dirty - all depending on when and where the opportunity arises. If you think you're able to put me up and need a hand with stuff in return then I'm definitely your man.

Music, Movies, and Books

Midnight Cowboy is my favorite film. Inception was lots of fun. Hmmm... Glengarry Glen Ross? If you've seen any of the above and liked them I reckon we'd get along! 'Heat' is brilliant as well. Just finished watching all 4 seasons of Mad Men too which again was superb. 'The Wire', anyone? Again, brilliant.

Recently read 'The Mastery of Love' by Don Miguel Ruiz after one of his other books; 'The Four Agreements'. I'm so down with those books so maybe I'll get to meet others that feel the same.

I used to run Pirate Radio stations in London years ago at the time that Jungle started to become popular outside of the UK. I love music and find myself moved by music of any genre nearly every time I find myself a little unsure or down. The power of music huh? I used to tinker around with electronic music on the computer and have a couple of interesting bits and pieces I'm responsible for. I dont play any traditional instruments but I think I'd like to play around more. Used to play the Tabla drum for a while and will definitely get back involved in that instrument before too long.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saved someones life. It's quite an extreme story so will have to tell you about it in person :P

Nearly got blown off the roof of a 20 story building while fixing a radio transmitter back in my pirate radio days. So many crazy experiences doing that which you may or may not find interesting.

On a more personal level I found myself breaking down in uncontrollable grief at an Ashram in Banagalore (Art of Living last year, 2010) which led to a shift in perspective, in the most positive of ways of course :D

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I've been involved with the internet for ages and ages and if you'd like to learn how to live off earning from the internet, I think I could help. From blogging to freelancing for others etc. Yup, we could definitely talk :)

I think I've always been able to find the best in others, when maybe they cant see those qualities themselves. I find supporting and encouraging those around me to be incredibly satisfying.

I know theres more and I'll add it as and when it comes to me :)
