ABOUT ME
Hmm....I'm 29, Canadian. I live in Ottawa--Canada's beautiful capital. I love travelling (obviously) and seeing new things. I'm vegetarian, very open-minded and willing to try new stuff. Love learning about other cultures and am fascinated by language! I'm always seeking a new adventure and looking for like-minded people.

Music, Movies, and Books
they are always changing, but I do enjoy all of the above. I especially like documentaries and quirky movies. Current favourites include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Goodbye Lenin, Le Scaphandre et le Papillon, Das Leben der Anderen, Eco-Pirate, Gasland, Another Earth, Sidewalls.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every day is an amazing gift! And that is why it's called the present.
Really though, I have seen some really amazing things, but often the most beautiful things in life are the little things that are easily overlooked.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn guitar. I started but ...
right now my focus is learning about gardening and green practices that I can integrate into my life.
I can teach languages.
I think this is probably a good place to tell visitors what I think is best to see Ottawa.
1. Parliament Hill. Go up the Peace Tower. Great views and it's free! You can also go to see the Changing of the Guard every morning...it's at 10 or 10:30 I think.
2. Wander around the Byward market. The main part of is bordered by William, George, Byward market and York.
3. The best museum in Ottawa, IMHO, is the Museum of Civilization. Visit on Thursday after 5:30 pm for FREE. Other museums you might like to check out--the National Gallery and War Museum. Also free Thursday after 5:30 pm.
4. Ottawa's best coffee: Bridgehead. Organic and ethically traded. You can find them all over.
5. Take a stroll along the Rideau Canal, or if you're here in the winter, skate down it!
6. Another great walk: Start at the Rideau locks and head west along the river. Great views of the other side of the river in summer.
7. Bluesfest is huge every summer in Ottawa. My favourite festival is the Lumiere festival also during the summer...it's short but wonderful!
