One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I saw the Pacific Ocean, age 15 I think, was unforgettable. I had gone West to live with my older sister for the summer and it was a time to figure myself out and experience everything new; the ocean's vastness and power and mystery became a symbol of that.
