Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While backpacking in the US, I visited 15 states, stayed only with friends and never booked a room in a hotel. Traveling light, taking public transport within the cities, using buses/trains otherwise. All this was liberating to say the least, given that this was the first time I was traveling alone. I don't really know if this really is CouchSurfing but my experience definitely opened me up to the concept.
I have lived for 8 months in France and during many of my travels in and outside France , I have couch-surfed. It's been a great way to meet people of all ages and kinds, exchange stories and see a place from the eyes of a native.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-A 7 day long trek in the Himalayas with friends immediately after finishing my undergrad.
-A 10 day long motorcycle ride through Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the monsoons.
-The Half Dome Hike in the Yosemite

Can teach: all the languages that I know; embroidery(some Indian styles).
